“Dear Alex, As you know, walking tours are not new to me as I have done them for 18 years as my business (more than 100 walking tours in 12 countries). I have good ones, better ones and even great ones but this tour you have of the Camino has surpassed every tour I have done, both in the US and abroad. I had thought that NOTHING would outclass my New Zealand trip and my one along the Rogue River in Oregon but this one has! It is the combination of things such as your ability to let us see this wonderful part of Spain through your eyes; the care you and Jason took of us along the way; the wonderful gourmet picnics every day; the accommodations which were both historical and lovely; the knowledge of the various churches and monuments which Jason so superbly presented; the little details you took care of such as reconfirming our flights to Madrid; having a local guide show us Santiago; introducing us to people who were so kind and most of all, making this walk into something which will stay in our heart and soul forever.

I, along with the other 9 of my group, want to thank you and Jason for your part in introducing us to your wonderful world. I will be back in 2010 with another group of pilgrims who, although they may be walking for different reasons, will probably come to the same conclusion that we did and that is an appreciation for Spain and for Fresco Tours and for the wonderful Camino de Santiago. I'm trying to hold onto the experiences

“Alex, Margaret and I arrived back in Australia Saturday and I went back to work Monday so it’s been a bit hectic. I'm trying to hold onto the experiences of the walk! (which I will treasure for ever). It must be difficult to get the balance between support, safety and ensuring customers have a good time and being too pushy and detracting from the experience. Interesting as I spoke to different people in our group, we all agreed that a tour that was too controlling would not have appealed. I think you got it about right! The guides were terrific, couldn’t imagine any better, food and accommodations were great and well above my expectations. You seem to have captured the perfect balance of professionalism which made it all run smoothly and gave me complete confidence whilst still being friendly and personable. a great chance to see a beautiful part of Spain

“How does one imagine a 150 kilometer walking trip to Santiago de Compostela? It would be difficult to match up with the reality of our recent walk with Fresco Tours on the Camino. Three happy, helpful men made sure we would never get lost, always have a delicious lunch and be picked up and swished off to a heavenly place to spend the night. Were it not for the genuine care they took with us, the walk would have been just a long arduous trek. Alex, Ricardo and Jason, thank you for all the effort you took to make sure our trip was just right. “Dear Alex and Lola, Phil and I had a good trip home after a couple of extra days in Santiago, what a great city! We managed to attend vespers on a couple of occasions, but tried to keep a sense of balance and visited most of the bars! It was a bit of an anti climax after the Camino although we really did miss you and Lola and the rest of the team after the great time that we had spent together on the trail. I had looked forward to the Camino for a long time but the experience was even better than I expected. We were both very impressed with the superb Fresco organization and attention to detail, before, during and after the trip.
